Parker, CO: Jewel Theives Steal $300K

A jeweler stopped for coffee Monday at a Starbucks in Parker, Colo., south of Denver.

He was just returning to his car when he was held up.
Three masked robbers took three "tubs" of jewelry and a briefcase containing the salesman's handgun.

One of the robbers allegedly brandished a gun, but no one was injured in the robbery.

Middletown, OH: School Busses Sabotaged

Another school district was forced to alter school plans due to vandals on Tuesday.

The Madison Local School District said it had to go on a two-hour delay after vandals broke into the bus compound, unplugged all the block heaters and flattened the front tires on 17 of the district's 20 school buses.

The district said the vandalism happened sometime after 10:30 p.m. Monday, when a returning bus driver saw that all the buses were plugged in.

School bus diesel engines often need the engine block heaters to start on cold mornings.

A similar incident in Mason last month forced the district to cancel classes for the entire day.

Toledo, OH: Bank Gets Super Glued and U Locked

In celebration for this year's Valentine's Day and in accordance with the Mid-West Anarchist call out for a "Capitalism Breaks My Heart" themed event, Anarchists glued and locked a Fifth-Third bank in Toledo, Ohio.

The bike-locked front doors and glued locks were complimented with a large anarchist Circle-A and the words "FORECLOSED" spray-painted over the large teller windows.

At the scene of the crime, a poem was left to the banks of the world:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,

Forclosure is sweet,
When it happens to you.

Winston Salem, NC: Vivsector Sent Razorblades

Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC currently imprisons and inflicts violence upon over 1,300 non-human primates. Recently, they made the choice to accept the transfer of over 300 non-human primates from the University of California-Los Angeles.

After years and years and years of pleading, protest, letter writing, civil disobedience, these institutions and individuals still don't get it. They continue to oppress and kill innocent and intelligent beings.

The Justice Department has had enough of waiting and pleading while the animals suffer and die in agony. On behalf of the animals, we mailed razor blades covered in rat poison to some Wake Forest primate murderers.

First on our list was Paul Czoty at 164 Huron CT. in Winston Salem. Paul performs cocaine addiction experiments on macaque monkeys. We hope that the razor blade doesn't slice open your wife Courtney's finger. Paul, that razor blade has your name written all over it.

The other envelope was mailed to Linda Porrino at 608 Alpin RD. Winston Salem, NC 27104. Linda also addicts primates to cocaine in her laboratory. This is atrocious and sadistic research.

We are well aware of where the rest of Wake Forest's primate vivisectors reside. This is only the start. The cowards at the FBI or Postal Police may intercept our mail to you, but can they screen the mail of you primate torturers forever? End the experiments on the primate captives or it only gets worse.

Always for the oppressed, Justice Department

New Orleans, LA: Cop Shot

A 25-year-old New Orleans police officer was shot in the shoulder at Urquhart and Clouet streets about 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Show Low, AZ: Arson at Technical Operations Center

Suspected vandalism and arson left the Cable ONE technical operations center and business center in Show Low extensively damaged on Tuesday.

Jacksonville, FL: Vandals Target Church

The pastor of a Westside church wants to know who has been committing some unholy acts by vandalizing the church.

Someone has broken stained glass windows at the Epiphany Baptist Church on McDuff Avenue three times this year.

The first time the glass was broken, someone smashed the windows by throwing a piece of concrete. The concrete was thrown so hard that after it crashed in it slammed into a wall and left a dent.

The church was able to make the necessary repairs and the church members thought that was the end of it. However, less than two weeks later, another window was broken. While a board was still in place of one broken stained glass window, another was broken on Thursday.

Many Cities, U$A: Computer Virus Destroys City Computers

Houston shut down part of its municipal court operations Friday, cancelling hearings and suspending arrests for minor offenses after a computer virus infected hundreds of its machines.

City officials said they expected the problems to extend at least through Monday.

Court offices will remain open to allow people to pay tickets and fines, but the dockets will have to be reset, a move that will affect thousands of cases, city officials said.

It was unclear Friday how the virus got into the system,

They could not say when they hoped to have the virus removed from the city network.

The disruption cascaded through city departments, leading police to temporarily abandon making some arrests for minor offenses.

Officials also briefly disconnected the Houston Emergency Center. Although some emergency communications, such as dispatching, are routed through the center, police experienced no major disruptions.

By Friday afternoon, officials said the virus appeared to be contained to 475 of the city’s more than 16,000 computers.

But the problems it caused grew so severe that city officials made an emergency purchase order for up to $25,000 to bring in Gray Hat Research, a technology security company that began trying to eradicate it through the early morning hours Friday.

We’re not sure what virus has attacked us. It’s going to probably be days.”

The compromise of the city networks dealt another blow to the municipal court computer system, which has been beset by problems almost as soon as it went live in April 2006.

The $10 million effort by Maximus Inc. to bring the court’s activities online was immediately troublesome to judges, clerks and prosecutors and delayed court proceedings in 2006. After threatening litigation, the city reached a $5 million settlement with Maximus and may seek another vendor.

The latest super virus that has breached at least 10 million computers worldwide as of late January, including the government health department in New Zealand and defense systems in France.

Internet access has been turned off to most city of Springfield, MO computers. The information systems department is dealing with a computer virus that uses the Internet to spread itself. The city says it's affecting a "significant amount" of computer work stations.

Conficker, also known as Downadup, infects computers via a flaw in the Microsoft Windows operating system.

Once on a computer, Conficker disables some of its capabilities, connects to outside servers and can download other malicious programs. It may also gather personal information and upload it to remote servers.

Because individuals and larger operations are often slow to patch their systems, Conficker has spread quickly.

Fort Benning, GA: Arson At JAG

Fort Benning JAG employees look on in disbelief at the crumbling building that used to be a home away from home.

Still smoldering from Friday night's fire, the historic building a total loss.

"The initial responders were military police, and they tried to fight the fire internally, but the flames were too much, the smoke was too much. They left the structure, and then the firefighters got there and went inside, but the flames were too severe and they had to fight the fire from outside," said Lt. Col. Kevin Clarke, the Provost Marshal at Fort Benning.

The fire raged for several hours, engulfing the entire building.

Power to the surrounding houses even when out when the fire took out a nearby transformer.

The real devastation, though, comes in the loss of information.

The JAG office deals with all legal issues on post, from civil and criminal court cases, to injury claims and personal wills.

Years of paperwork, in addition to dozens of computers holding sensitive case information, have been burned beyond recognition.

Even though most information was backed up, the main server was inside the building.

No one knows if anything can be recovered.

Brookfield, WI: Burlington Coat Factory Set on Fire

Los Angeles, CA: ALF Vandalizes UCLA Vans

Those UCLA vans aren't as easy to find as they were. While down south doing some homework on the night of Monday Feb 2nd we happen to notice one parked on side street in the town of San Clemente. The opportunity was seized and we applied some paint stripper. We wanted to leave the van driveable because we also stashed a small suprise underneath. Did you find it? Be careful.

There are now less primates in the halls of torture at UCLA but any is too many. Until the UC schools leave the animals out of it's blood thirsty quest for power, as we have said before, there will be no backing down on our part. Expect many more actions.

From the shadows somewhere close to all of you,

with love,

Chicago, IL: Catholic Church Set on Fire

When firefighters arrived at a Bridgeport Catholic church early today, they found a message of rage written in red tape across its front doors: "Rape" and "God is a lie."

Words on adjacent doors indicated that the rape happened here, at this church.

The arson shattered the stained glass of All Saints St. Anthony's Church, 518 W. 28th Pl.

It was unclear Friday whether police were looking into a connection between the incident and the priest sex abuse scandal that has plagued the Catholic Church in recent years.

A source confirmed that the Archdiocese of Chicago is talking with a Minnesota law firm about allegations that a former priest, who has been named in other sex abuse law suits, molested an adolescent boy in the rectory of the Bridgeport church decades ago.

Olympia, WA: Rebels Attack Catholic Church

Knives out.

For far over a millennia the Catholic Church has suppressed, tortured, raped & killed any form of dissidence that stood in their way of total conquest. They have depopulated & destroyed entire continents to build their empire & have left all of their followers emotionally wounded & unable to enter into healthy, loving relationships with the people & world around them.

Catholicism is a vile, putrid, infectious disease of misery that has spread across the globe, leaving uncountable acts of horror in its wake. Christianity has killed more people than Cancer.

So last night we super glued locks, wrote our blasphemic messages & broke 6 windows at a Catholic Church in west Olympia.

War on their God. War in their heavens.

~Some Rebels

Lawrence, KS: March in Solidarity With Palestine & Greece

On the night of Saturday January 31st, a crowd of over 50 people took to the streets of Lawrence, Kansas to show physical solidarity with the ongoing struggles against state violence in Gaza, Greece, Oakland, Augusta and beyond. Most of the participants were from Lawrence, but comrades from the blossoming Prairie Fire anarchist network from Omaha, Kansas City, and Oklahoma City were also well represented.

The marchers took over Kentucky Street, a major arterial street in the Oread Neighborhood, with large banners, torches and drums. Chants of "From Oakland to Greece, fuck the police!" and "From Lawrence to Iraq, the war is on every block!" echoed throughout the student neighborhood. Dozens of people came out of their homes along the march route, and hundreds of statements explaining the reasons for the march were handed out along the way.

Police tried to order the marchers from the streets at various points, but were greeted with hostility each time. The march snaked from South Park through the Oread Neighborhood and back down Massachusetts Street, the main downtown area of Lawrence.

Marchers broke off at several points and left spraypainted messages about the police and state violence along side streets and buildings on the route. Kentucky street remained closed for at least a half an hour after the marchers left that street, as fire crews responded to burning debris in the road.

The march ended near the site of the murder of Tiger Dowdell, a black anti-imperialist militant, who was killed by the police in 1970. No arrests were made, and the confrontational tone of the march set a precedent for future actions against state repression.

Berkeley, CA: Students Attack Vivisectors Car

On January 20, UC Berkeley's Gregory Timmel was followed to work.

As he left his car parked in a garage on campus, he was whistling and had no idea he had been followed. We preceded to vandalize his shiny new Audi, paid for with blood money. We would have reduced the Audi to ashes; if not for the fact that tailing him prevented us from grabbing the instruments that would have set his shit aflame. But there's always tomorrow.

We acted against Timmel because he is a veterinarian in UC Berkeley's vivisection labs. Hey Gregory, time to become a real vet and help sick and wounded animals recover; not ensure the smooth functioning of the torture chambers by assisting vivisectors in callous and fraudulent experiments on fourty-thousand beautiful, innocent beings per year.

And to Nina Hahn, David Rieger, Walter Brown II, Stephen Friet, Helen Diggs, Delonzo Starks, Quig Driver, and the rest of the Office of Laboratory Animal Care sadists; don't think that you or your property will be spared.

This action was carried out with full dedication and solidarity to the SHAC-UK prisoners.

Liberation's crusade has begun.

Tulsa, OK: 9th Bank Robbery of the Year

(What a way to start 2000-crime)

The city of Tulsa saw its ninth bank robbery of the year -- a record for any one month -- on Thursday afternoon.

"This is unprecedented," said the detective, Sgt. Dave Walker.

Fourteen Tulsa financial institutions were robbed in all of 2008.

A man walked into the Arvest Bank at 36th Street and Yale Avenue at 12:37 p.m. Thursday, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, Walker said.

Customers were in the bank, but no one was injured.

The robber presented a teller with a note implying he had a gun, but he never brandished a weapon.

The robber fled on foot.

Some people think the ailing economy is the reason for the recent rash of robberies.

Bank employees are trained and prepared for robberies and that safety is always the No. 1 concern.

Lewisville, ID: Mormon Church Attacked

Chico, CA: Riot Erupts After Police Shut Down House Show

A crowd of several hundred young people, attracted by three open parties, choked West Sixth Street near Chestnut shortly before midnight Thursday, igniting a large bonfire and throwing objects at police officers attempting to restore order.

Two Chico police patrol cars were damaged, but sadly, none were injured.

Officers responded to noise complaints in the area and shut down a large party with a live band about 11:30 p.m. on Chestnut Street.

Many revelers from that gathering headed for two parties in the 500 block of West Sixth.

Within minutes crowds from the three parties combined were spilling onto West Sixth and soon had a fire going in the middle of the street.

Within seconds of turning onto West Sixth, the officer's car was being hit by a barrage of rocks and bottles, which broke the windshield.

As more police began to arrive, a core group of between 200 and 300 people remained near the fire, feeding it with combustible items which at one point included a couch.

At times impromptu chants broke out among the crowd.

After more than an hour, during which rocks, bottles and at least one brick were hurled into the street, police donned riot gear and moved in and arrested 4 people.

Pecos, TX: Riot at I.C.E Detention Center

A riot has broken out at the Reeves County Detention Center.

"We do not have anything in control," said a detention officer from the facility. "Everything is out of control." The detention officer said a medical dispute between inmates and staff might have sparked the riot.

According to officials, several fires have broken out throughout the jail grounds. One prisoner was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

The Reeves County Detention Center is run by the Geo Group and houses federal inmates who are being held on immigration charges.

Wells Fargo Bank funds the GEO Group & people have attacked them in the past for that very reason.

Just sayin'.
