Fort Mill, ID: Sabotage on Power Lines

Somebody sabotaged power lines by deliberately felling two trees. One tree had toppled onto power lines, while the cross brace of a power pole had also been broken. One of the trees cut missed the lines, while the other scored a direct hit.

The trees were cut about three-quarters through, apparently to get them to fall in a specific direction.

A power outage was recorded at the time, according to the Northern Lights Electric Utility Cooperative, though the utility declined to say how many people were affected or for how long.
